Membership terms

Simple monthly membership

Challenge Life memberships have no joining fee, no long-term commitment and no cancellation notice period. Members can contact Challenge Life to change, pause or cancel their membership.

Membership inclusions

Gym Only includes gym access. Gym + 5 SGT includes gym access and five Small Group Training sessions each month. Ultimate Challenge Life includes gym access; effectively unlimited Small Group Training, subject to booking availability and fair use; outdoor activity sessions; and Challenge Central member benefits on selected events.

Bookings and access

Coached sessions and outdoor activities must be booked and remain subject to space, safe coach-to-member ratios and any event-specific requirements. Members should cancel spaces they cannot use so another person can attend.

Minimum age

Normal gym access and Small Group Training are available from age 16. Young people aged 14–15 may take part only with parent or guardian consent and under Challenge Life's appropriate supervision and coaching arrangements. Standard gym membership and Small Group Training are not available to children under 14.

Pausing a membership

A recurring membership may normally be paused for a minimum of one full month and a maximum of three months in any rolling 12-month period. Please ask at least seven days before your next payment is due. There is no standard pause fee. Challenge Life may agree an exception where individual circumstances reasonably require it.

While a membership is paused, membership access and recurring payments are paused. The next payment date moves by the duration of the pause. Any sessions booked during the paused period may be cancelled.

Cancellation

When a membership is cancelled, access continues until the end of the period already paid for and no further recurring payment will be taken. Payments already made are not normally refunded or reduced pro rata, except where required by law or where Challenge Life agrees an exception.
